Kjell Lund

Kjell Lund (born 1927) is a Norwegian architect, songwriter and singer.

Personal life

Lund was born in Lillehammer as the son of Arve Johan Lund and Margit Tora Hornes. He married Tove Berg in 1954.[1]

Career

Lund cooperated with architect Nils Slaatto for many years. Among their designs are Asker City Hall, Chateau Neuf in Oslo, and the module based system Ålhytta. Lund has also designed several churches. He is an honorary member of the organization National Association of Norwegian Architects.[1]

Among his best known songs are "Her kommer guttemusikken" and "Den store sinte svarte skumle katta til fru Haugen".[2]

He was decorated Knight, First Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 1985.[1]
